MEET ELLIOTT SKINNER, LMT

After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1984 with a BS degree in physical education, he returned home to find there were no jobs available. Through the encouragement and support of a close friend, an amazing chiropractor in his hometown, he began his massage therapy career over 20 years ago.

Elliott became a certified massage therapist through the Atlanta School of Massage in 1991. He immediately took the Florida State Licensing Board exam and became an LMT, and was "grandfathered in" once Georgia required licensing for massage therapists. To increase his knowledge and help him become a more effective therapist, Elliott continued his education and graduated from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Gwinnett College in 1996.

He states, "Although massage therapy helps people in many ways, I wanted to know more. I especially wanted to help people in pain; further my goal of becoming a top tier therapist".

As an experienced therapist, Elliott has worked in many settings. Initially worked with chiropractors, then physical therapists, and in his own practice. Currently, he is working with a Neurologist in Atlanta, GA.

He has also continued his education earning CEUs and certifications in Neuromuscular, Orthopedic, and Muscle Energy Techniques.

Elliott joins Mary at Trilogy Massage in Acworth, GA.  Together they offer Neuromuscular, Deep Tissue, Medical/Orthopedic, Hot Stone Therapy, and Reflexology.

Re: Elliott Skinner, B.S., LMT, ADPTA

I want to highly recommend Mr. Skinner to you in the field of myofascial, orthopedics and neuromusular rehab.  He is, bar none, the best and most knowledgeable neuromuscular therapist I have worked with over the past 30 years. He has worked  with me daily over 12 years, on difficult, complex and unique cases and always has excellent results.  This is in part because of his natural talent for the field, but he is also a relentless self-learner and constantly, through courses and seminars, expanding his knowledge and expertise.

I rely on his therapeutic talents, but also regularly tap his diagnostic abilities to confirm and expand my own impressions.  He is methodical and a diagnostically linear thinker.   And though he is leaving our clinic setting, I hope he will still be local and available for me to refer to.

I have worked with many, many manual therapists over the years; but he is simple the BEST.
